Marion Wade's biography
Marion has worked as a sexuality counsellor and sex therapist since 1997.
She works with women and their partners who are dealing with a range of personal and emotional issues, problems and life events which affect their sex life. Some are trying to come to terms with who they turn on too, how they identify themselves sexually and the way they express themselves sexually. Some are puzzled - they’ve lost the passion they used to feel with the partner they still love. Some are concerned about their body image and whether they are normal. Some feel lonely, blocked, bored or abnormal. Some are in pain and their relationship may be in conflict.
Issues clients bring to sex therapy include:
- wanting to have orgasms
- low desire or no desire
- desire difference with one’s partner
- difficulty with sexual intercourse
- persistent vulva pain, vulvodynia
- adjustment after genital surgery
- curiosity about themselves and their sexual response
- body image difficulty
- sexual abuse
- trauma
- stress
- lack of confidence
- communication problems
Marion provides supervision to counsellors, therapists and other health practitioners. She provides professional development training for counsellors, psychotherapists and other health practitioners. Marion has experience in general and mental health nursing. This included counselling, psychotherapy and group facilitation in the Wellington Adult Mental Health Service.

Fees
$ 120.00 per hour for individual work
$ $140.00 per hour for work involving a partner.
$10 for invoicing
Ordinarily fees are paid at the end of each session
Sessions
are 50 minutes
Cancellation Policy
Marion asks for 24 hours notice of cancellation. 24 hours notice gives the opportunity to use that session time.
If 24 hours notice of cancellation is not given and she is unable to re-book the session, then the full session fee will be charged
